When judging a face…

….where do you think your eyes gaze at a face?  Do you think they look at the eyes first?  Or the mouth?

Miguel Eckstein, professor of psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studied just this and what he found was fascinating. We look at the bridge of the nose, or at least in that general area. Does that surprise you? And most people are not even aware they do that.
