48 Hours Mystery: Johnny Wall

Did you catch the story of Ute Von Schwedler and the story of her suicide this past weekend on 48 Hours Mystery?  Her husband now stands accused of her murder, and is waiting to stand trial later this year.

Her son speaks out against his father, Johnny Wall, saying he believes his dad killed his mom.  Johnny’s family, however, doesn’t believe it is possible.

You don’t actually get to see Johnny speak in the episode, so you are left only listening to both sides of the family react.

Pelle, the son of Ute and Johnny and who were divorced, says something astounding to me, however.  Pelle recollects his dad’s behavior and word choices after his mom’s death.   He talks about his dad acted very infantile, and depended on his son for comfort instead of the other way around, and what Pelle said was startling.

Pella says his dad said as he cried over Ute’s death, “Am I a monster? Could I have done this?”

Freeze frame!

What????

That says all we need to know.  Hands down. Who would entertain this if they are innocent and uninvolved? Would you ever call yourself a monster if you had nothing to with the situation?

I can answer for you:  NO!

Would you question if you did it?

I can answer again for you:  NO!

According to 48 Hours, “Johnny Wall spent six days after Uta’s death at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute, under observation.”

None of this supports Johnny Wall’s innocence.

I will be curious to see how a jury sees this case.

Pelle, in his recollection, has clearly identified the truth in this case and its not suicide. It’s murder if you ask me, and the monster identified himself.

I’d like to add that I think Pelle is an amazing and very intelligent man. To be so rational and clear thinking through such trauma is astounding.

Did the forensic team check underneath the surface of the car seat, right inside, for cherry syrup, and traces of the drug? Any idea?

My belief is that the family dog did not scratch or injure the eye of
the accused ex-husband. My 3 Terriers have slept in my room, may times
on the bed, since they were pups (11, 9 and 7 years). They are active
and playful and I have yet to ever receive an eye or facial scratch or
injury from any of them. I can, however, imagine that a woman fighting
for her life against an evil ex-husband who could not let go and move
on, might well be able to inflict an injury to her assailant/murderer’s
eye. The victim seemed to be not only intelligent. independent, focused
and successful, but had moved on with her life and pursuits and had a
supportive love interest in addition to her children. Seems to be no
reason she would consider taking her life.

I watched it *and* I’ve researched this case.

No one has mentioned here that, when Pelle started speaking out against his dad’s abusive nature (especially against Uta), Wall **sued** his son. Ugh.

Please, everyone, stop supporting this guy. He is so guilty.

Uta was in a happy relationship. None of her friends support even the possibility of her committing suicide.

Wall had placed an **online order** for the med he somehow forced into her system. She had no prescription.

He was found guilty, and his attorneys have fenagled a delay of sentencing, while they try to get the case thrown out.

I don’t believe that they will be successful. And I will put this in my prayers.

In any case, 48 Hours is featuring an updated segment of this case tonight. You can see for yourself.

As far as I am concerned, Eyes was spot on in her original comments here.

Pelle is an extraordinary young man.

I’m certain Uta is very, very proud of him.

I just watched this 48 hours and I support John Wall.. This UTA lady LEFT HER CHILDREN! John supported these kids while she went off with another guy. She was the crazy person not him. I believe all this stress could make him crazy though. Her son is attempting to get a cash grab out of this. How can you people support a mother who leaves her children? A court even ruled custody of the kids to John Wall, why because UTA was CRAZY!!!! She slit her risk hoping to have her boyfriend come home and find her because shes nuts but she did not know she was going to die.. These police interrogators BREAK people down, they tell you “someone seen you do it” They lie to you, they end up making you really think you committed a crime. Not to mention they woke John Wall up at home in the middle of the night while he was sleeping which is documented. This guy is innocent. He has no clue what was even going on when he first got there.. There is only one kid that wanted to put blame on the father because he turned 18 and seen dollar signs..
