It came out that Reeva was scared of Oscar because of his bad temper, and I think he lost it and killed her, I believe she was trying to break up with him, and he couldn’t stand the rejection. The sentence was pitifully less than he deserved, and I can imagine how her family felt. Their daughter’s life was made to seem like it wasn’t worth much. He, at least, has lost his career and his hero status. He will suffer because of that loss. I don’t know if he has conscience enough to suffer for the life he took.

Jip, ons is almal mense, en dit is n jammerte dat ons dit vergeet wanneer ons dit pas. Wat as jy in Oscar se spore moes loop? Vinnig om te Judge neh. Jammer, as n regsgeleerde voel ek dat meeste mense net sensasie soek. Oscar, ek sal enige dag als doen wat ek kan vir jou. Barry, jy is n ster. Desperately want to meet u and ur legal team, I want 2 learn a lot more. I want 2 be the next Barry (female though!), just need him 2 be my tutor!!! he is my inspiration.

What type of person brings a card telling someone you love them and then says I’m leaving, is that the vindictive, person you believe Reeva to be, cos I certainly don’t . I think like Viasagies case this was a tragic accident, except Visagie was never charged.

You can love someone and not be able to live with them. A lot of people want to end things on a friendly note. Unfortunately, the breakup didn’t end on the note she would have wanted. That’s my belief, but we have only one person that knows what really happened.,

I, personally, cannot understand what you are saying. Do you think it possible or probable that when you break up with someone, the last thing you say to them (or leave them in a card) is “This is a good day to tell you I love you” Arguing against myself it could be said that she had written that earlier – but it still remains that she arrived at 18h (6pm) approx on the 13th of February and left it downstairs when they went to bed. What could he have said to her, what could they have fought about that a matter of hours later she broke it off? It was a solid relationship going forward at 6pm (or later) – when she placed the card with her current feelings expressed in no uncertain terms. Yet within 6 hours she broke up with him? So violently that he decided to take his gun and kill her? You can say someone has a bad temper but what you are implying is that Oscar is so out of control that he would murder someone in cold blood? People quote the interview after the Alan Olivera race – but he did not hit anything, throw anything or use foul language. He said what he had to say – yes, some who are not professional sportsmen/women might see it as petulant but they are under pressure. If you want to see a tantrum – see Jody Cundy, he screamed and threw a water bottle into the crowd narrowly missing a spectator. That was worlds away from Oscar´s interview!

Eyes for lies you are the liar. OP never ever intended to kill Reeva. Have you not followed the trial? She never ever screamed. She was standing behind the door instead of cowering in the corner. She took her phone because the toilet bulb had gone, she had a wee, not scared of Oscar at all. She did not know he had a gun pointed at the door! And had brought a VAlentine present for him and a card telling him for the first time that she loved him. Oscar’s temper is not worse than the next man’s and he was totally papranoid about his security. That much was diagnosed a t the WEksoppies clinic. He was desperate to protect her in spite of his vulnerability. I’m sorry people have been so misled by the media smear campaign. encouraged bu the state who wanted to save face after their initial blunder of course. OP would not be in jail if he had not been famous. He has suffered enough from his mistake.

Michounette I agree fully with you!!! People is so fast to judge!!!! but your wording: OP would not be in jail if he had not been famous. He has suffered enough from his mistake!!!!

Sad that so many people believe the media´s half-truths and lies. I am convinced he did not know it was Reeva. Why would he kill her when he could have just broken up with her? Or let her go if she wished to leave him? Most of his girlfriends stayed friends with him when they separated – ones who had only dated him for a short while, ones with whom he had been in a relationship for a long time – even years. Among them there had to have been ones that left him – and yet he did not shoot them! For me I cannot understand why anyone would think he did it on purpose!

Sarah Peart well said TY. If they follow the case from day 1, they will notice that it was NOT DONE ON PURPOSE!!!!!!

The trial is over, and the court has decided! Oscar did not intentionally murder Reeva or want to kill anyone…. This poll is redundant! Time to move on to helping the needy or protesting against guns in society… People are shot and killed daily by accident, so redirect your own anger and dissatisfaction of life elsewhere! Peace be with you!

The facts are that it has been proven in court, publically, under the heaviest of cross examination, that Oscar’s version is the most factual and nearest to the truth. In not accepting this, the court’s finding, one is not looking for the truth but rather for ways to impose their own thoughts as the truth discarding the law (barometer of society and it’s justice).
