Fake Crying

On Dr. Phil this week, if you watched it, you got to see a really good example of a fake cry. This example hit every marker there is.

If you’ve attended my classes, test your skills to see if you can articulate all the clues that this is not genuine! Good luck!

sniffling, whimpering, no tears, high pitched voice, stopping/escalating with no reason, blinking fast, no forehead involvement, facial expression doesn’t match words being expressed… reminds me of Jodi Arias on the stand

She is obviously suffering from mental illness and maybe it’s from past trauma but with all the meds she’s taking she is high as a kite. I doubt she can feel real emotion in her present state but her family should get her to detox and mental health professional.

There is no way that I would entertain more than a few minutes of that snivelling. I could only watch it to the 11:11 time stamp and had to stop and post this. lol I would provoke her and see what popped out if I squeezed her like a zit. Ugh. No wonder her sister is angry. Oddly, the sister tried to pull off some half hearted fake cry/whining when she first sat down with Dr. Phil too. …but she stopped. This one? I dunno, because I haven’t watched past 11:11. However, I am betting myself that she drags on and on with it for the rest of the interview. Sister or not, I wouldn’t have contact with her if she continued down this path.

I’m following this blog to try to better my abilities at reading people. So tell me if you think I’m right with what I see. The fake crying from Shimeda is just obvious and over the top. I think she needs to be the victim all the time and she is really trying to convince everyone she is. She TRIES to look puzzled and innocent, as if she doesn’t know what everyone is talking about. BUT… I also thought that I saw some fake crying from Dana (her sister) it looks to me like Dana starts out fake at 21:00. Dana sounds whiny and a lot like Shimeda, but then she dissolves into what I think are real tears of frustration and sadness for her sister after that.

It seems fake, but I find it hard to tell why, her eyebrows near the nose are often drawn down which is wrong. Her lips don’t appear to be drawn down. Her eyes seem quite open and observant of everything going on. Eyes can you give us some more pointers!
