The Youngs Ordered to Jail; Delayed

Andrew Young and his wife, Cheri, have been found in contempt of court and ordered to jail for up to 75 days.

From ABC.com:

Superior Court Judge Abraham Penn Jones said that he held the Youngs in contempt because he believes they are withholding other items from the court, including, WTVD says, additional copies of the tape.

“There were things told to the court under oath, in affidavits, in testimony that turned out to be inaccurate. Right now, part of me says they didn’t tell me the truth before in this court,” Jones said, according to the Raleigh News and Observer.

Young’s lawyers tried to downplay the discrepancy as a memory lapse, one of many Young has suffered throughout the course of the hearings.

Comment Failure

I have had nothing but problems with Echo commenting since I was asked to upgrade in December. They are unable to support their new system, want me to make changes to code that is beyond simple HTML doesn’t even exist when I search for it in my template! Their customer service blames me for their bugs. I am so done with them. If you run a blog, my advice is to steer clear!!!

With that, I was wondering if someone out there is techie and can help me switch to a different comment service. I’ve downloaded my comments, now I just need help with the code.

I am tired of all the headaches from a failed Echo system.

Fun Experiment

I had a thought about 4:00 in the morning. It seems to be a productive thinking hour for me. I wake up and have good thoughts!

I remembered last night in my sleep that I had two people vote that they read my blog from the South Pole. I started thinking about all the cool places my readers come from and I thought it would be really cool if you guys would want to show me!

If you are willing, this is what I thought would be interesting. Print off the first page of my blog or the flyer here, take it with you and find a cool place in your city or location — perhaps something notable — like a landmark that people would recognize, take a picture showing my blog page or flyer and YOU, and sent it to me!

I will then gather all the photos and put them on a page. It would be helpful if you tell me where you are! If you don’t want your face shown, I can blur it out for you, or you can do it if you prefer! Or you can show just your arms or whatever you are comfortable with — keep it rated “G” please. My email is on the left side of the page.

I think this could be pretty cool because you, my readers, come from around the globe! I hope we get people from each continent.

Odds-n-Ends

Today I spent the some time going over topic suggestions on my Feedback page. If you haven’t ever taken the time to read that site, you might enjoy it. I share a lot of my thoughts on cases over there, and I don’t post them here unless I feel there is something significant to write about.
