Diena Thompson Meets with Billie Dunn

Diena Thompson gave a grant from the Somer Thompson Foundation to Billie Dunn to pay her bills for the month while she is going through this difficult time. BigCountryhomepage.com has the story and video.

Diena Thompson’s daughter, Somer Thompson, went missing in 2009 and was later found in a landfill. After several months, police arrested a local guy for the murder, but his trial has not yet started.

Diena Thompson  said to the reporter in tears, “Makes you feel like its you again, like its your story again.”

“There aren’t words in the English literature or any other, you know, language for me to express to anyone what it feels like to be in this situation–to be in this club that nobody wants to belong to, and the dues are way too high,” said Diena.

Diena says, “I hope that Somer is looking down on her mommy, and proud.”

Billie Dunn said, “For her to understand it so perfectly, um, there’s things that she can tell me, things that I can tell her…we can talk about and we completely understand.”

I have always found Diena Thompson to be unusual and I have always believed she knew more than she has told us.

ABC’s 20/20 Mother’s Day Murder

Friday night ABC’s 20/20 ran a show on Stacey Burns, who was murdered on Mother’s Day.  Her body was left by the killer to be found by her children Mother’s Day morning.  The show profiles two individuals who could be responsible for her killing:  her ex-husband and an ex-boyfriend.

It’s a truly perplexing mystery.  The ex-husband had made threats against his wife, and she had a restraining order against him.  He ex-boyfriend was somewhat obsessed by her according to friends, and his DNA was found under her fingernails.

While watching the interview, I have gut belief at who is responsible, but from the interview, there were no concrete clues that were leaked out, unfortunately.  It’s much like the Hailey Dunn case.  I have a gut instinct, but there is not hard behavioral evidence in these two cases that will give me what I need to make a definitive decision based on behavior.  That doesn’t mean that these two cases can’t be solved by behavioral evidence, it just means I’d need to ask more direct questions myself to get to the truth. Not all interviews will provide the questions to leak the clues…

Hailey Dunn’s Mom and Boyfriend in Spotlight

KTXS.com  has received copies of affidavits for search warrants in the case of missing Hailey Dunn, and what they found doesn’t look good for Hailey’s mom and boyfriend.  In the affidavits, it states that Shawn Adkins had threatened the lives of both Billie and her daughter Hailey before. The affidavits also confirm that both Billie Dunn and her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, failed the polygraph (though I don’t put much weight in polygraphs).

Apparently, both Adkins and Dunn were also intensely fascinated with brutal crimes and horror films.  From KTXS.com, “Seized in a box in their bedroom were numerous documents, some fictional and some past crimes, that covered such topics such as serial killers, ax murders, sexual sadistic activities, the occult, sex and death topics, motives for murder and mass murderers – including the killing of family members.”

Trooper on Hailey Dunn: “Family not forthcoming”

DPS Senior Trooper Sparky Dean said to BigCountryHomepage.com about the Hailey Dunn case yesterday, “The family has not been forthcoming. Their discernment of the truth continues to change. Very frustrating.”

My Opinion

I know many of you have stated that you believe and trust Hailey’s mom. I have watched Billie Dunn, Hailey’s mom, speak about her missing daughter, and I have not been able to come to any conclusions.  At this point, I am perplexed by her lack of emotions in the videos I have watched regarding her daughter.  Until I can make sense of it one way or another, I will remain neutral and undecided.

Please continue to provide video links of the family members speaking out. If I can come to a conclusion, I will promise you that you all will be the first to know.
