McCanns to be Cleared?

News reports are saying the McCanns may be cleared from their status of suspects.

Yes, you read that right.

Furthermore, the Portuguese police are saying that they don’t have a shred of evidence against the McCanns.

What do you think about the news?

I’d say it was about time! Let’s hope they actually do it, and not just feed the rumor mill. Until I see it, I won’t believe it.

I have believed the McCanns from day one. To read more about what I think, you can either click on the labels below to see all posts I have made on the McCanns, or you can read my first post written on Saturday, May 26, 2007 here.

McCanns Release New Sketch

The McCanns have released a second sketch in the hunt for Madeleine on Sunday. According to Clarence Mitchell, a vacationer in Praia da Luz, Gail Cooper, spotted this man on April 20 on the beach of the resort where the McCann’s stayed. They noticed him because he stood on the beach, alone, in the pouring rain.

Furthermore, he approached Cooper, and told her he was collecting money for a local orphanage. Then a few days later Cooper says she saw the man on the beach with a group of children. Yet when investigators working for the McCann camp looked, they found no such orphanage.

It’s a bit odd.

Furthermore, does this sketch resemble the sketch created by Jane Tanner’s description? And corroborated by Irishman Martin Smith?

I believe it does.

Irish Man Corroborates Jane Tanner’s Story

News has broke today from Sky News and Fox that an Irish man, Martin Smith, has come forward to say that he saw a man carrying a child on the night Madeleine disappeared. He is sure it was not Robert Murat.

He tried to speak to the man when he and his family bumped into him. He asked the man if the little girl he was carrying was asleep, but the man did not reply which caught his attention as unusual.

It makes you wonder why Smith asked that. Did something make him curious? Perhaps it was a subconscious thought.

This gives some credibility to what Jane Tanner has said. While I have always believed her, I know there is a group of skeptics out there. Perhaps this will help people believe Jane.

The Hardest Christmas Imaginable

Kate and Gerry McCann released a video plea for the return of Maddie yesterday. Have you seen it?

Read more In the beginning of the video, you may notice Kate and Gerry McCann are taking deep breaths. It shows they are nervous. That is indisputable. But the question is what are they nervous about?

Some might say it is because they are lying. I disagree simply because I don’t see any other indications of deception. Furthermore, I would have expected to see nerves like this in earlier interviews with the McCanns when they were in the media spotlight on a daily basis and when the heat was the hottest–when they were named suspects, but I did not.

This is the most nervous I have seen the McCanns.

I suspect the McCanns are nervous because they are pleading to the person or persons who have been involved in the abduction of Maddie for her safe return.

If you decided to make a video message, and talk to someone who you truly believe might hold they key to your daughter’s safe return, wouldn’t it make you exceptionally nervous as well?

I believe it would. It would make your heart pound because you’d know how serious it is. Say or do the wrong thing, and the implications could be horrible. Yet if you do or say nothing, you may forever regret not speaking out.

Imagine the McCanns nerves when making this video.

Watch how the McCanns look at the camera, and how they show genuine emotions when they plea to the person who may have been involved, or is involved in the disappearance of Madeleine. You can feel they are talking to someone beyond the camera. You can feel they have a vision of someone. It is in sharp contrast to the behavior that Drew Peterson expressed when he talked to Stacy a few weeks back during his interview with Matt Lauer.

May 2008 bring Madeleine home to her parents, safe and sound.

DP Funnels Quarter of a Million to Son

The latest news from Fox is that Drew Peterson transferred $250,000 to his son in the weeks after Stacy’s disappearance.

It’s another piece of the puzzle–a piece that I don’t think bodes well for Peterson, but I can’t think of one thing Peterson has done in the weeks since his wife disappeared that is positive, or that does bode well for him. Can you?

McCann News

Other news is that a BBC Crimewatch producer, who befriended the McCanns while on holiday at the Mark Warner resort in Praia da Luz, has come forward to say that she believes the McCanns are innocent.

Read moreBridget O’Donnell says that her partner ran into a “relaxed and friendly” Gerry on the night of May 3rd. If O’Donnell is a credible witness, it has to throw some doubt into the theory that the McCann’s accidentally killed their daughter.

People who cover-up an accidental death of a loved one have a highly likelihood of being jittery and nervous–most specifically within hours of the death–unless they are psychopathic. In my own personal opinion, I do not see the typical traits of a psychopath in either of the McCanns, though I confess, I am not expert.

I don’t find any video of O’Donnell talking, unfortunately, to give a further breakdown of her comments.
