What’s in a Face?

baavla, the charmer

I have believed for years that our face communicates a wealth of information.  It’s the biggest source of information that a person reveals unknowingly, and I use this information constantly as a baseline to what a person says. I call it facial profiling.

It’s been awesome to see science starting to study the face and what it reveals.  More and more research is coming out in support that our face does reveal valuable information, if we pay attention to it.

Here is an excellent article titled “How to Spot a Liar” from The Globe and Mail sent to me by an Eyes for Lies reader.  It’s full of superb information, so I thought I’d share it with you.  The reader also asked me if I thought the most successful liars among us are socially-emotionally intelligent, and yes, I do agree they are.

When I watch people like serial killer Ted Bundy, I see a man who knew how to read people and emotions extremely well, and he used that to his advantage, without a doubt. He was hands down socially-emotionally intelligent.
