Fascinating Study of Human Behavior: Darryl Clinton

Darryl Clinton is a fascinating person to watch in the study of human behavior. Darryl stayed behind to protect his friend’s houses where he resided as Kilauea erupted. He faced instant death as lava bombs were hurled from the volcano towards these homes.  You have to watch the video above.  These lava bombs broke through the roof, windows and other fixtures on his friend’s property. They started fires that threatened to take their home. And they could have taken Darryl at any moment.

If I were to show you a photo of Darryl, you would like see that he is unique, wouldn’t you?

There aren’t a lot of men who look like Darryl, are there?

By this alone, we can speculate that he likely has a unique personality, too. And in the video above, we can verify that by what he is doing–staying behind to protect other people’s homes. Whether you agree with it or not, Darryl is unique without question. I get a sense not much scares Darryl. He has likely always felt little to no fear. It’s just his make-up.

In the video, Darryl shows concern and stress, but not fear.  He is amazingly calm.

He is utterly mind-blowing to me.  Don’t believe this is Darryl’s normal behavior?  Watch him after he unfortunately got injured by a bowling ball sized lava bomb the next day after this CNN left. It seriously injured his leg.  His demeanor is no different after his serious injury, which will have huge effects on his life.

I know I wouldn’t stick around for any house with lava bombs hurling in the air and landing all around me.  Maybe feeling fear isn’t a bad thing after all? I suspect Darryl really wanted to be a hero, and it cost him dearly.
