Eric Abshire on Dateline

June 1, 2015/7 Comments/in Dateline NBC, lies, murder/by Eyes for Lies

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Dateline profiled the story of Eric and Justine Abshire. Justin was found dead in the road in 2006, and it became a question of what happened to Justine.

I happened to have seen this story before featured on Primetime Crime in 2008 so I was familiar with the case.

I didn’t believe a word out of Eric’s mouth back then, and neither did a jury who has since heard the case in 2011. They convicted Eric Abshire (I didn’t know).

In this Dateline show, I was stunned by the photos of Justine at her wedding. She was anything but happy that day and you don’t need to be an expert at understanding emotions to see it. It was heartbreaking to witness.

And Eric said something that stunned me in this episode.

When talking with police about what happened to Justine, and asked what he thinks might have happened, Eric says very casually, “I’d like to think she got hit.”

What??

I was blown away when he said that.

His tone and manner of voice is stunning.

Who on earth would like to think their loved one got hit by a hit-and-run driver?

Seriously.

That says so much, if you ask me.

My Thoughts on Dateline: Father or Son?

April 22, 2015/16 Comments/in Dateline NBC, deception detection, lies, murder, truth/by Eyes for Lies

I believe the son is telling the truth about who killed his mom, Diane Kyne, and that his father, Bill is a master manipulator.

There are too many elements which do not support William Kyne (I could write pages).    The most troubling for Bill is that he has collected on insurance claims four times!  He has had four huge crisis in his life. Two deaths of spouses and two fires.

What are the odds?

Bill wants us to believe he has had 1 in a million odds four times.

Right!

Not only did William’s first wife go outside in the middle of the night by a pool and supposedly trip and fall, and Bill collected $250K on her life insurance policy.  But Bill also had two insurance fires.  Wow.

Bill had an insurance policy that paid out when his automotive business burned down and yet another on an investment property fire.

And now his second wife gets killed, and he has another insurance policy payout totaling $750,000.

Are you kidding me?

Then add to the fact that Bill doesn’t check on his wife and the police find her body within minutes cold when they arrived.

Furthermore, Bill’s DNA was found on his wife’s neck after  her death which was ruled a strangulation, and not Kevin’s. I don’t care if Bill was married to her, if Kevin strangled her, his DNA should have been there!

It’s also interesting that Bill says he went to his attorney and had Kevin legally evicted. Not his mother (though she may have capitulated). Kevin’s mom eventually let him back home.

And the reason Bill says Kevin killed was, according to Bill is “because he was being kicked out of the house and wanted his own way.”

Does that make any sense?

If he wanted to kill the person who was kicking him out, it was actually Bill who went to the attorney, wasn’t it? Yes, his mom capitulated, but Bill is the one who went the attorney.

Kevin had a head injury and I don’t know if has affected him, but right now, I see someone who may have symptoms of Asperger’s Syndrome. It makes me curious if his responses are muted due to his head injury or possibly Aspergers.  People with Aspergers have difficulty when being interviewed in criminal situations.

I think Bill saw Kevin as the perfect scapegoat, and I wouldn’t put it past him to set Kevin up.  He is perfectly capable, if you ask me. I don’t trust Bill whatsoever.

I could write pages and pages on this case!

Snake River (Dateline) Charles Capone and David Stone

January 12, 2015/12 Comments/in Dateline NBC/by Eyes for Lies

Did you catch Dateline NBC this week?  They profiled the story and disappearance of Rachael Anderson. Rachel disappeared in 2010. Police looked everywhere for her, but couldn’t find her.

In 2013, her ex-husband Charles Capone and his friend David Stone were arrested for her murder, though Rachel’s body has never been found. The case was solely build on circumstantial evidence.

Stone eventually turned and became a state’s witness for leniency and testified against Capone. Stone says that he saw Capone kill his wife and helped him dispose of her body. The reason he said he never came forward is that he was a afraid of Capone, which I say is utter nonsense.

I didn’t believe a word David Stone said on Dateline.

And I ironically didn’t see any hotspots in Capone.

Capone has since been convicted of murder, and is awaiting sentencing. Stone was convicted as an accessory and could be out in as little as 18 months.

While I don’t know what the truth is here, I believe we have yet to hear the truth of what happened to Rachael Anderson.  I am not buying Stone’s story. I wish there were more interviews of Capone to sift through.

What did you think when you watched the show?

Note:  My opinion of Charles Capone is assuming his interviews were prior to his conviction.  If this is incorrect, please let me know.

Dateline: Michelle Despain

November 18, 2014/8 Comments/in Dateline NBC/by Eyes for Lies

Did you catch Dateline this past weekend? They ran an interesting and sad story out of Arkansas.

Michelle Despain says she found her husband Marc laying in the kitchen.

Michelle tells the story.

What clues did you see Michelle give off as she recollected what happened?

How quickly did you hone into Michelle during her interviews?

What was the first clue you found?

Let’s hope she isn’t out in five years. I fear for anyone else who encounters her.

Note:  I will try to get back and share comments on this, but I can’t make any promises.  I apologize I have a busy schedule but feel free to converse amongst each other.
