Well, Eyes for Lies reached a milestone today. Our stat-o-meter crossed the 500,000 unique visitor mark. Woohoo!

Well, I looked at my stat counter, and something went funny. I am not sure if this was accurate now!!
New research suggests that we are much more willing to lie when we type rather than when we write things out with a pen. Who knew?
Do computers make us feel more removed than ever before? Do they make us feel protected like we have a shield in front of us? What do you think?

I got notice this weekend that a woman from the U.K. decided to use my name on the Websleuth forums.
I thought I had an account on websleuth but it would not let me sign in, so I created a new one called “eyesforlies”, but websleuths has rejected me.
I kindly ask websleuths to talk to this woman to tell her that many people discuss my blog on their forums, and to please ask her to consider another name as it will only cause her, me, and you my readers headaches. Websleuths has ignored my request and at this time, I am unable to reach this woman because I can’t get her e-mail as I do not have a websleuth account.
I know many of my readers have a websleuth account. I was wondering if you guys would ask her kindly to reconsider, or ask her to contact me so we can work this out. You can find her here.
She is the first person in four years to use my name and I think it will cause everyone confusion. People will likely think it is me posting when it is not. Ironically she is posting in the same forum where people have been discussing my blog.
Just so you guys know in the future if I post anywhere I will use my eye logo as my avatar.
Hopefully this woman will reconsider the name and see the confusion it will cause. That is all I am asking for!

Suze Orman was on Oprah this week and she said…

You have a foundation, supposedly, but a little crack if something goes wrong, (like) a little earthquake or a tremor, and it starts to open, everything goes falling down, and Oprah that is exactly what happened in the United States of America.”
Well said, Suze! We need to support legislation that changes this so this can’t happen again.
Dateline NBC profiled a case they titled A Deadly Triangle Saturday. Did you see it?
It is the case about married couple Eric and Erin McLean. Erin, a teacher, started dating a former student of hers, Sean Powell, and in the end Eric ended up killing Sean.
Eric always maintained it was an accident, but Erin resorted to calling Eric a psycho. She told police he threatened to kill her or himself, but she didn’t think he would really do it.
It was a true mystery indeed.
When I watched Eric talk, I believed him. I trusted what he said to be true. His grief was genuine, intense and real. His story was logical.
Eric was tried for first degree murder but the jury only convicted him with reckless homicide. His sentence, which will be given in November, could be as light as time-served (6 weeks) plus probation. I believe justice was served in this case.
At this time, Erin McLean is on the run with their children.
