Child Remains Found Near Anthony Home

News just in from CNN:
Child’s remains found near home of Caylee’s grandparents

Apparently a utility worker a couple of blocks from the Anthony home (approximately 1/4 of a mile) today at approximately 9:30 found a plastic bag and when he picked it up, a child’s skull fell out. Inside were badly decomposed remains of a young child. The bag was found in a wooded area.

Orlando Sentinel:
Remains Appear to Be Caylee Anthony’s Say Searcher

“[EquuSearch volunteer Deborah] Smith said the area where the remains were found is “really wet and steep and there’s lots of snakes back there.”

“EquuSearch spokeswoman Mandy Albritton said their workers did not check that location earlier because it was submerged in water when they had looked in September. When they returned in November, the site had been fenced off [private property].”

May Caylee Anthony get justice.

From CNN: No Death Penalty for Casey Anthony

CNN is reporting that prosecutors will not seek the death penalty in the case against Casey Anthony.

“It is not in the best interest of the people of the state of Florida to pursue the death penalty as a potential sentence,” prosecutors concluded, according to the document.

I wonder why that is? Any guesses?

You can’t help but wonder if it is because Casey is young, a woman and a mother, if that somehow played into the decision.

Casey Anthony Tapes Released

Several of you have inquired about my opinion of Casey Anthony and Cindy Anthony in the video tapes that were just released yesterday. Due to the volume of footage (several hours), I am not going to review all the segments. Personally, I don’t have the time. However, I am more than happy to respond to specific inquiries given specific content and time markers.

I did watch the first six minutes of this footage (Part 1 from July 25th), and I don’t see any indications in this footage that Cindy Anthony is in cahoots with her daughter, or that she has any indication where Caylee is at. She appears genuinely concerned, and stressed about her granddaughter’s whereabouts.

Read moreWhen I watch Cindy Anthony, she is very serious and her actions are indicative that she is on a mission to (a) comfort her daughter, but (b) to also try to find out facts. She is serious as one would expect, and intent on looking for Caylee. That is not unusual or notable in anyway. It is what I’d expect.

Casey on the other hand laughs and genuinely smiles at times as if nothing is wrong. It’s very notable. When one is deeply afraid and fears they have lost a loved one to a tragedy, they are usually not able to laugh or smile genuinely without any indications of fear or stress. Yet Casey laughs without any indications of stress or worry. Her voice also sounds free of distress which is also a red flag. All of this is indicative that Casey is not feeling normal emotions.

Notice Casey’s mom Cindy never breaks out in a deep smile or genuine laugher? That’s because Cindy is truly worried and concerned about Caylee, where Casey is not.

Feel free to post specific areas you would like me to look at below. Give me time marker spans of no more than 4 minutes, and please tell me precisely what you would like me to look at, and I will be happy to share with you what I see. Depending on the number of requests I get, I may not respond to all, but I will respond to the ones I feel are most valuable. Thanks!

Casey Anthony Indited on 1st Degree Murder

Casey Anthony was arrested today on first degree murder charges… (I did not write about Casey Anthony).

(CNN.com) A Florida grand jury has returned a seven-count indictment charging Casey Anthony with first-degree murder in the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter, Caylee.

…Lawson Lamar, the state attorney for Orange County, Florida, said the first count is a capital charge — which could carry a penalty of life in prison or death. She was also charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and four counts of providing false information to police.

Did you see the video of George Anthony today as he spoke outside of the courthouse? It was really gut-wrenching. His emotions tugged at your sleeve. They socked you in the gut. They were raw and agonizing. I can’t imagine having to testify against your own daughter.

In a poll back in July, 48% of people polled said they did not believe Cindy Anthony was honest. They believed she was hiding information about Caylee. I’ve always believed Cindy Anthony, and still do to this day.

The July poll (above) was devastating to see because people were really hard on the Anthonys as if it was their fault that Casey Anthony was a pathological liar, or worse, a psychopath. I don’t think you can create a sociopath. I think people are born that way. Worse, if a child has no conscience, how do you teach them right from wrong? How do you punish them? I just don’t know how people can blame the Anthonys. They are living a parent’s worst nightmare.

My heart goes out to the Anthony family, and I just have to ask again:

I personally think that Casey Anthony was jealous of Caylee’s relationship with her mother, and left home to spite her mom. She figured by removing Caylee from her mother’s life would be the ultimate payback. I can’t quite imagine that she killed Caylee as a result, but it sure seem to be pointing to that as horrific as it is to write that.

What a tragedy.

Why Don’t You Write About Casey Anthony?

Several readers have been asking me to review Casey Anthony. They say there is ample audio of Casey out there, so why don’t you review her?

The reason I haven’t reviewed Casey Anthony is multi-fold. First, I don’t think you need “Eyes for Lies” to see that Casey Anthony is lying. I am nearly certain that 99% people out there do not believe Casey Anthony.

Her biggest give away that she is lying? The facts that she supplies simply do not add up. It doesn’t take any special talent to see that because if she was honest, people would be standing up to vouch for her, but no one with any credible evidence has done that once.

Second, I typically choose to write about cases where public opinion is truly at odds, and where people aren’t sure of the truth. At that point, I think my opinion becomes more interesting and valuable.

For me to just restate that Casey Anthony is lying because the facts don’t add up, and to provide a handful of other clues doesn’t provide much of anything for anyone. I precisely reviewed Cindy Anthony early on because I saw people attacking her, and I felt my opinion and insight might open people to a different consideration.

Do I hear clues to Casey Anthony’s deception in the audio tapes? I do. Is it anything earth shattering? No. What I hear are tone-of-voice and inflection clues that stand out in the few samples I have listened to. When Casey Anthony, for example, was asked the last time she talked to Caylee, she answers with the word “noon”. If you listen to that word, you will her Casey Anthony say the word inflecting her voice more as a question instead of a statement. It’s little things like this that I don’t think are valuable to anyone for me to commit an hour or two of my time to write about.

So there you have why I haven’t written about Casey Anthony. If I believed it would be valuable and helpful for people, I absolutely would do so. But right now, I don’t think I would do anything for anyone by me simply restating the obvious.
