Different Demeanor for Jodi Arias

Demeanor is a key element to understanding human behavior.  In this video with Jodi Arias, we see a very different demeanor than the woman who was on the defense stand during her trial.

Do you hear a shy, timid girl who lets people tell her what to do?  Or do you hear an in control woman who plans things meticulously to get her way?

You tell me…

Thank you to my readers who shared this with me.

This is the real Arias. She is in control, telling others what to do, manipulating the media so she can get her own way. There are 2 things that bother me with this recording. First of all, she says “If, for some reason, it’s first degree…” She honestly believed that the jury would fall for all her lies. Secondly, when it was first degree, she was suddenly all weepy, the only real emotion we’ve ever seen – but again, for herself only. I can’t remember if it was this interview with Troy Hayden or another one where she said “Just because I lied doesn’t make me a liar by definition.” For someone who gets a kick out of correcting other peoples’ grammar, and who likes to use ‘big’ words, although they’re not always used correctly, a liar by definition is someone who lies. I read somewhere that she was heard screaming at her lawyers after the verdict. Imagine, she couldn’t fool a jury of her peers. Not her fault, though, it was her lawyers’ fault. Just like she didn’t mean to kill Travis, he just pissed her off. Whatever sentence she gets this time I just pray that in a couple of years people will say “Jodi who?” That would be the worst possible sentence for her.
