Hannah Overton’s Conviction Overturned!!

December 17, 2014/6 Comments/in ABC 20/20, murder, Positive Person/by Eyes for Lies

More ABC News Videos | ABC World News

I am so thrilled to learn that Hannah Overton’s conviction has been overturned. This poor woman and her family suffered from Hannah being wrongly convicted.

Back in October of 2008, I watched her story on 20/20 and immediately trusted her despite a handful of clues that made people look at her. You can read my post here.

And now this week, seven years later, Hannah was finally freed!

This is the best news ever!!

It feels so good to see the truth prevail!!

Let’s just pray that they do not bring further charges again.

So happy for Hannah and her family!

From the ABC News story: “The district attorney of Nueces County, Mark Skurka, has already
announced his intention to try Overton again on capital murder charges.
That trial currently has no date set.”

I don’t know if this is the correct forum for a comment like this. But I just wanted to say, thank you. I have learned so much from you. I’m beginning to think that SOME of my chronic case of gullibility has been cured. I’m enjoying watching 48 hours episodes and realizing, hey, even I know that guy is lying. I don’t set out to try to figure out if the key figure is guilty or not, I just let the show play out and sometimes the obvious is just too much for me and I know. I find it hard to believe that I would have had no idea before. I don’t consider myself any kind of expert, but it sure is nice not being a complete ditz. lol
