Dalia Dippolito Back Again

Dalia Dippolito’s story was featured on ABC’s 20/20 this past weekend. If you aren’t familiar with Dalia’s story, you’ve missed a very, very interesting case to say the last. Luckily for Dalia’s husband, Michael, Dalia didn’t get her wish carried out. Instead, she got charged with solicitation of first-degree murder and sentenced to 20-years behind bars because she asked the wrong man, an undercover cop, to kill her husband.

Oops!

The story is now taking on more twists and turns. Dalia got her case reversed out of concerns that her jury may have been biased because of pretrial media and she is scheduled for a new trial this May (2016). Dalia is out on home arrest and wearing an ankle monitor until her trial.

Dalia’s defense is that she was somehow set up to be part of a reality TV show, and it was all just a game. Do you believe her?

Dalia Dippolito Found Guilty and Has No Reaction

We all wondered if a jury would believe the “reality TV” story that the defense team proposed as the reason Dalia tried to kill her husband. It didn’t work. Thank god! It only took the jury three hours to convict Dalia, who was subsequently sentenced to 20 years in prison. Thanks, Karon, for the update.

Dalia Dippolito: GUILTY!

Sweet relief for society. This woman is dangerous!

Dalia Dippolita on Trial: Off the Chart Defense!

Do you remember the case of Dalia Dippolita from 2009?  The newly wed who met her husband when she was working as an escort and then six months after they were married tried to hire a hit man to kill him?

Well she is on trial now and her defense–get ready–will blow you away!  The defense says it was a stunt by Mike Dippolita with the hope that he would catch the attention of someone in reality tv.  Dalia was just waiting for Mike to say it was all a hoax, but he never did!

I will be surprised if anyone buys this, though Dalia’s attorney does a good job at saying this convincingly.

Here is a clip of Steve Kardian talking about the story on TV after this happened. You will see excellent footage of the case and hear interesting commentary.

Dalia does that lovely high-pitched whine I talk about in my training that fake criers often do (think William Walsh).

Reality can’t compare to fiction.
