Brain Dead Girl’s Mom Speaks Out

Nailah Winkfield’s daughter, Jahi McMath, 12, was declared brain dead last December after a tonsillectomy that went wrong. According to state law in California, once a doctor declares a patient brain dead they are no longer required to treat them.
On my Suggestion Page, I see I have 84 votes by people who read the blog to review Nailah–asking if she is being honest. I have to say I am rather perplexed at this. Why do people question Nailah? I don’t understand.
I do believe Nailah is being honest–that her daughter is still responsive — at what level I cannot say. I also believe that Nailah is too close to this situation to be of clear mind and is likely in denial about the situation.
I do not believe that Nailah is being intentionally deceptive.

A Study of Honesty: Stacey Barfield

You see a mom whose emotions are odd when she talks about her little girl being murdered. People have written to me multiple times wondering how a mother could be so light-hearted as she is in this video. Stacey, the mom, even laughs at one point. I think this is an excellent video for the study of honesty.
We might flag Stacey on these behaviors, if we didn’t know the truth. And to flag her is okay, but one must not rush to judgement. I always say we must have three solid red flags or even more before we judge anyone, and here we only have two.
If we didn’t know the outcome as we do here, what could explain this behavior?
If we plug in shock and disbelief–that the truth hasn’t sunk in–it makes sense–that the mother hasn’t processed the situation at all. She may also be having trouble grasping the situation for a variety of reasons.
Police say her little girl, Hailey, was found shot to death in the perpetrator’s home.

Take notice or you could fall victim like people in the housing market did. This article gives good guidelines on how much you should allow yourself to spending when budgeting for a car loan.
Sadly, the sharks are at it again, but if you read an educate yourself, you don’t have to fall victim!
